Bilingual Store Manager (English-Japanese)

POSITION TITLE: Bilingual Store Manager (English-Japanese)


SUMMARY: The Store Manager is responsible for the sales, profits, staffing, image and operation of the store. The Store Manager will proactively lead the store to ensure achievement of business goals in revenues, expense, profitability, customer satisfaction, inventory shrinkage, and employee morale.  The Store Manager will provide Customers and Associates with outstanding service through friendly, quick, efficient, accurate and safe assistance.



  • Possesses a food handling license.

  • Possesses a forklift operating license desirable but not required.

  • Must be accredited by the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals or similar accrediting organization as a “Certified Food Safety Manager” or will be required to attend company paid training and have the ability to achieve accreditation within the first 90 days of employment.  Accreditation must be maintained while employed in a position in which it is required.



  • Customer service experience in a similar or comparable work environment, strong verbal  communication skills supported by a pleasant and positive attitude of “can do” success.

  • Previous experience in grocery/retail or customer service environment required, previous experience in management preferably of a grocery store, highly desirable.



  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year College or university is preferred but not required; a minimum of ten years of work experience in a grocery chain or retail establishment also preferred. 

  • Strong operational skills with a focus on great time management.
