How should I dress for an interview with Marukai Corp.?
While we don’t take ourselves too seriously, we take our business seriously. With that, said, feel free to leave the tuxedo at home. Along with the sandals. Comfortable business casual attire should be just fine.


I was not selected for a position at Marukai Corp., when can I reapply?

If you are not selected for a position, you may re-apply, at any time- either in-person or online. We’re thrilled you enjoy our stores enough to pursue a career with us.


What happens after I apply for a position?

After you apply for a position, our store managers review each application in search of experience and qualities that fit any of our open positions. If our store managers see you as a fit for an open position, they will contact you for an interview.


Is Marukai hiring?

At Marukai Corporation we are always accepting applications. We do not always have open positions at the store you may have applied at, but we may refer your application at a different store location that can benefit from your experience.


Do I need a resume or Curriculum Vitae (CV)?

We do not require a resume or other related documents with our application. However, you are free to attach a resume and let us know more about you.


How do I apply for a position that is not posted? Can I apply for a future opening?

At Marukai we are constantly looking at application submissions for any opening job positions. In the application you can indicate what position you are applying for; if we do not have the position available but believe we can benefit from your experience, we may offer you a different position. You can always apply in the future for any available openings. We recommend that you check online or in person at our locations for available jobs.


What are the minimum qualifications for a job position at Marukai?

Experience requirements vary depending on the position you are applying for. Most positions at Marukai are entry-level and require little to no experience. If you are willing, we are more than happy to train you!

Do I have to apply in person or online?

You can apply to our stores either online or in person, your choice. me and let us know more about you.


How do I know if I am offered a job position?

If you are offered a job position, you will receive an Offer of Employment via e-mail or regular mail with required paperwork. Additionally, your hiring manager will contact you with more details on your start date and time.


What should I expect during an interview?

If we ask you to come in for an interview, we simply want to get to know you a little better. We may ask you to talk to us more of your past work experiences and abilities to see if you fit the position and if you can adapt to our company’s environment.


What kind of benefits does Marukai provide to its employees?

Upon completing an introductory period with the company, Marukai provides its employees with various benefits.

Part-time employees receive an Employee Discount, PSL (Paid Sick Leave), and Leaves of Absence.

Full-time employees also receive an Employee Discount, along with PTO (Paid Time Off)/Holiday Pay, Leaves of Absence, Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance Plans at discounted rates, and are eligible for a 401k Plan.
